How do I add a cash on delivery fee in Shopify?
Install ItsCOD, pick your Cash on Delivery payment method and set a fee. Buyers see it in the payment method's name at checkout, and the fee is added to the order.
How do partial payments work on Shopify?
With ItsCOD, the buyer picks a deposit on the product page and pays it online at checkout. The rest is paid in cash on delivery, and the order shows a "Balance due on delivery" line.
Does it work without Shopify Plus?
Yes. On every plan the fee shows in the payment method's name. On Plus it's also a line in checkout; on other plans ItsCOD adds it to the order right after it's placed.
Can I charge a different COD fee per product?
Yes, on the Advanced and Pro plans. Each product can have its own COD fee and deposit options. In a mixed cart, the highest fee is charged once.
Can I hide Cash on Delivery for some orders?
Yes. Hide it by market, above an order total, for some products or collections, or for customers with a tag.
Does the order confirmation email show the fee?
Yes. ItsCOD gives you a code to paste once into the Order confirmation email; it then shows the COD fee and the amount to pay on delivery.
Which languages does the widget support?
14 languages, including Arabic, Hebrew and Urdu right to left. The app itself is in English, French, Spanish, German, Italian, Portuguese and Dutch.
Is there a free plan, and what happens at the limit?
Starter is free for 50 COD orders a month. At the limit, ItsCOD pauses until the count resets or you upgrade, and you get an email at 80% and 100%.
